About Outside Kidz

Remember the pure joy of playing outside as a kid? The endless summer nights, the sidewalk chalk masterpieces, the backyard adventures that felt like epic quests? Yeah, we do too. And we think it’s time to bring that feeling back.

At Outside Kidz, we’re all about recapturing the magic of the great outdoors—no matter where you are or how much space you have. We believe the outdoors should be an extension of your life, not an afterthought.

What We Do

Inspiration – We spark ideas for getting outside, whether that’s exploring hidden gems in your own neighborhood or planning an epic getaway.

Connection – We link you up with local organizations, events, and communities that make outdoor experiences more accessible and fun.

Curation – We handpick quirky, playful products designed to help you make the most of your outdoor space—whether that means cozying up with mood lighting, setting up the perfect picnic spot, or turning your patio into a jungle.

So if you’re ready to swap screen time for sunshine (even if it’s just for a few minutes a day), you’re in the right place. Let’s reclaim the outdoors together—one small adventure at a time.

About the Founders

Meet Abby and Kaylyn — two adventure conspirators separated by a few time zones but united by an unshakable belief that the outdoors belongs to everyone.

Abby, holding down the fort in the Midwest, can usually be found gliding down a quiet river in her kayak, coaxing her garden into greatness, or taking meandering strolls that somehow turn into small expeditions.

Kaylyn, repping the West Coast, mixes paddle board yoga with camping trips and long runs that occasionally feature her trusty mini doodle, Theodore, as moral support (and snack inspector).

Together, we built Outside Kidz to reclaim the outdoors as a space for curiosity, joy, and learning — without gatekeeping, without intimidation, and definitely without “you have to wear $300 hiking pants” energy. We’re proudly woman-owned, BIPOC-owned, and fully committed to making adventures feel as welcoming as a campfire circle where everyone gets the good s’mores stick.

Get outside. Stay curious. Be a kid again.
